The Screenwriters Workshop is highly interactive and is taught by screenwriter, script consultant, actress, and director, Brandi Lynn Borgia. There is an ONLINE COURSE, as well as an ONLINE combined with scheduled meetings Screenwriters' Workshop in Cleveland, OH. 

Students are encouraged to bring into the workshop a script already started, a finished script, or a film idea to be worked on, formatted, and perfected the entire eight weeks. Students submit their work directly to the instructor.
The instructor's detailed feedback to EVERY SCRIPT SUBMISSION serves not only as a lesson to the screenwriting student about how to write a properly formatted screenplay, but as actual professional script consulting on a real script, your real script.

A screenplay is a blueprint.  It conveys information about the structure of a film, and like a blueprint, MUST CONFORM TO CERTAIN UNIVERSAL STANDARDS.One of the biggest STANDARDS is a screenplay that "SHOWS" and "DOESN'T TELL." Screenplays are stories told in moving pictures that show action with the help of dialogue.  The screenwriters job is to externalize the internal.  Screenplays can not contain writing that can't be shown on the screen or heard in dialogue.  A novelist takes you inside a character's mind, a screenwriter SHOWS YOU WHAT'S IN IT because 'thoughts can't be filmed.'
